In-person and remote sessions are available !
Please reach me at info@mindgardentherapy.ca if you cannot find an answer to your question.
First sessions are usually a little more structured than what follows. We'll start by going through the consent form and addressing any questions you have. From there, we'll talk about what brought you in and what's been going on for you.
We'll also spend some time identifying your goals, the changes you're hoping to see in yourself or your life, and clarifying what you most want from therapy. By the end, we'll have a sense of where to begin.
I direct bill to Blue Cross, Sun Life and Canada Life. Other insurance companies accept receipts for reimbursement. Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurer. Please check your coverage carefully.
Payment for sessions can be made by e-transfer or by credit card. You can choose to enter your credit card information into your secure client profile in the Jane App or if you prefer, be sent a payment link. E-transfers can be sent to info@mindgardentherapy.ca. Please note, all payments must be for the full amount.
Yes I do! I currently have in-person sessions available on Saturdays from 11am to last session start at 5pm and Sundays from 11am to last session start at 4pm.
I currently do not offer free or pro-bono sessions but do offer a sliding scale. Please contact me for more information.
This is hard to answer and it depends on your goals, your context, and how you work best. Some people find a focused, time-limited approach fits them well. Others benefit from more longer-term work. If you have a set number of sessions available through insurance or desire a single-session, then we can devise a plan to meet your needs.
The best way to figure out what makes sense for you is to have a conversation. Feel free to reach out.

The relationship between a client and therapist is one of the strongest predictors of whether therapy is helpful. You should feel respected, safe, and like change is possible, even if it takes a little time to get there. That's why I offer a free 15-minute consultation before we commit to anything.
This is more common than people think, and it's always okay to say so. If something isn't working, I'd rather you tell me so we can adjust, or so I can help connect you with someone who might be a better fit. You are never obligated to stay.
Single-session therapy is a focused, goal-directed appointment designed to be useful on its own. We start with where you are right now and work with what's most pressing. Many people find that one good conversation, with the right focus and support, can create real movement. It is a legitimate and well-researched approach, not a shortcut.
