In addition to my clinical training, I bring personal experience with chronic illness to this work. I know firsthand what it's like to navigate a health condition that affects every corner of your life, and how isolating that can be. I also know how hard it can be to find support that genuinely understands the weight and daily demands of it.
That experience shapes how I work. I don't need you to explain why it's complicated, or justify why you're struggling. I already have a sense of that. What I can offer is a validating space where you don't have to work quite so hard to be understood.
Living with chronic illness means that access to support often has to fit around unpredictable energy, pain, medical appointments, and financial constraints. A traditional weekly therapy model isn't always realistic. Single session therapy offers a different way in.
Each session is focused and intentional, designed to be useful on its own. We start with what's most pressing for you right now and work with it directly. You don't need to commit to ongoing appointments. You can return when something comes up, or use a single session as a standalone when you need support but capacity is limited.
It is a well-researched approach, and one that I think fits particularly well with the realities of chronic illness.
A single session can offer more than people expect. You leave with something concrete, whether that's a shift in perspective, a clearer sense of what you're carrying, a tool to draw on, or simply the experience of having been genuinely heard in a space that felt safe.
For people living with chronic illness, that last piece matters more than it might sound. Finding support that understands the weight of your experience, without having to explain or justify it, can itself be part of what helps.
If you've wondered whether therapy is even accessible to you right now, this might be a place to start.
